Days 84 to 98

March 25th- Video Chatting with our favorite Australian resident, Mr. Henry...something we do at least a half a dozen times a week.

March 26th- Nothing sweeter than a baby just waking up from a nap. Eyes puffy and wanting nothing but to be held.

March 27th- Looking cool in on his Beemer, wearing his Bug O'Boo tie shirt and leg warmers.
March 28th- Deshy loves to read. He will sit and flip through a book, babbling away. I'm sure he tells great stories, if only we could understand him.

March 29th- Deshy loves getting his food served to him in a bowl. However, the food doesn't stay in the bowl for longer than 20 seconds before the bowl goes flying through the air. On this day, the bowl managed to get wedged between his shoulder and the high chair.

March 30th- On this day, I decided to take Desh to Homegoods with me while I did a little shopping. Deshy decided he was done shopping before I was, so I grabbed a giant teddy off a store shelf to distract him. It did such a good job of distracting him, we had to take it home with us to distract him all the way until nap time.

March 31st- Deshy walks around the house and scoops up whatever he can find. He can always manage to find a great spot for his treasures.

April 1st- I thought if I handed Deshy a squirt bottle, he would clean my windows for me. It didn't go quite as I expected. Nevermind the pants too short. We'll call them shorts.

April 2nd- We finally purchased a camera for Deshy's room. Now we can see he's doing when he should be napping. This picture was taken with the new video camera and it explains why his "naps" are longer than they used to be before we moved his crib under the window.

April 3rd- We received our box of diapers a couple of days before this picture was taken. When I had my back turned, Deshy climbed up and stood on top talking to his imaginary audience. He was up there for a very long time preaching with wild hand gestures. I guess whoever he was talking to needed a long talking to.
April 4th- Daddy's Home!
April 5th- On this day, we went to visit Gramma Boggs and got to see Taylor too! We had a fun time eating lunch and walking through the garden they have where she lives.
April 6th- Swimming lessons! Deshy is loving the water, when he doesn't have to put his face in it. On this day, Daddy got to come and watch!
April 7th- The day before Easter we had some special bunny visitors! Hop, hop, hop came Grammy and Grandpa (a.k.a. Opa)!
April 8th- Easter Sunday we headed over to my parents for some egg hunting with the Ryan Marshalls. Here are the kids waiting for me to take a picture so they can start.the.hunt!!! Now remember, if you can see the eggs, they're for Deshy!

Days 60 to 83 (Its catch up time)

Day 60: Wednesday, February 29th- Here is a picture of my happy, smiling baby. I thought he looked adorable in his little vest so I wanted to take a picture.....he wanted to be held. And this was the result.

Day 61: Thursday, March 1st- Lourdes is a sweet woman who takes great care of our home. And Deshy LOVES her! He follows her around the house until she swoops him up (which never takes long).

Day 62 Friday, March 2nd- Swim Lessons have begun!!! And we are having so much fun! We only had a few tears on the first day (if you don't count changing time). Aren't his little speedos adorable!?

Day 63 Saturday, March 3rd- Okay, you caught me. We don't go to Little Gym on Saturdays! No idea what we did this day but I didn't take a picture. So here's one from the archives.
Day 64 Sunday, March 4th- Naked! Nothing more to say about this except that its such a cute bum.

Day 65 Monday, March 5th- He's a very good walker these days! He's walking more than crawling and getting around really well.

Day 66 Tuesday, March 6th- Deshy loves finding his toys in his basket. Sometimes he climbs into it so that he can reach a smaller toy on the bottom. The problem with this is that he usually gets stuck.
Day 67 Wednesday, March 7th- Daddy's helper! Deshy loves to help Daddy in the kitchen. And he LOVES when the oven is on (which makes Mommy really nervous) sometimes we'll just give in and sit for a moment while he watches something bubble in the oven.

Day 68 Thursday, March 8th- Chillin' on the couch with his ankles crossed. Love!

Day 69 Friday, March 9th- So proud of my little swimmer! Fewer tears this week and he earned a ribbon. His very first! Go Deshy!!! Its a bit wrinkled because when Coach Susi handed it to him he held it in his fist while we changed and got in the car and all the way home. He was so proud of himself!

Day 70 Saturday, March 10th- Taking a break after doing a little shopping. He was so happy to get down and run around. It was a beautiful day! We stopped at he La Boulangerie for some of their yummy shortbread cookies and the three of us had a little picnic in the sunshine.

Day 71 Sunday, March 11th- Our little pianist playing a duet with his cousin Brooklynn. Notice the audience in the background....they sure seem to be enjoying the tunes!

Day 72 Monday, March 12th- I love these moments when he's sleepy enough to rest on my shoulder. I know that it won't last long.

Day 73 Tuesday, March 13th- He had just woken up from a nap when I took this picture. When he has a good nap, I find him like this. Standing against the railing, holding one of his teddies, patiently waiting for me. He looks like he's thinking: 'Okay, Mom. Hurry and take the picture so I can get out of here.'

Day 74 Wednesday, March 14th- One of Deshy's favorite things to do is rip the child safety locks off the bathroom cupboard knobs and then walk around with them in his mouth. It seems that the child safety locks are more of  a danger than a safety tool. Here you can see him relaxing on the bathroom floor with the child safety lock.

Day 75 Thursday, March 15th- This is what Deshy looks like when he makes the noise of a pig. Snort! Snort! He's not as angry as he appears here.

Day 76 Friday, March 16th- Swim day! Deshy was very excited to start his lesson on this day. He crawled to the edge and would have dove in if I didn't stop him.

Day 77 Saturday, March 17th- Giddy Up! Headed out to the rodeo grounds with my favorite mother inlaw on this day, to mingle with over 300 other cowgirls. Had a yummy lunch, listened to a great band and watched some great things get auctioned off.

Day 78 Sunday, March 18th- Relaxing watching Sesame Street. A great distraction that only lasts a short time.

Day 79 Monday, March 19th- On this day, we met up with some other Bluff View babes to start planning Bluff View's 5th anniversary party. So excited to see some faces at the party that we haven't seen since BV's first year!

Day 80 Tuesday, March 20th- Mischief! Here is Deshy pulling out all of his diapers AS.FAST.AS.HE.CAN!!!

Day 81 Wednesday, March 21st- Ken, deep in concentration as he works to set up two new toys: AppleTV and a video cam for Deshy's room.

Day 82 Thursday, March 22nd- I love this moment! I captured it through the dining room window. Ken grilling up some chicken and Deshy watching from the chair. Do you see him there? Such a big boy! (Desh that is!)

Day 83 Friday, March 23rd- Deshy has discovered computer games. Is this the end of Mommy's laptop? Will I never see it again?????

Day 59

Big Boy- We are moving on up....moving up to a bigger carseat for our little toddler. This morning I unpacked it and left it sitting in the front hall and it wasn't long before Deshy discovered it. He quickly climbed up into the seat and had a great time wiggling and chatting to himself.

Day 58

Music to My Ears- Deshy has discovered the piano at Grammy and Grandpa's and he loves to play. Maybe he'll take after his Uncle Edo, the Italian concert pianist.

Day 57

Meow- On this day we headed up to beautiful Dunlap to visit the Cat Haven. We saw lions and tigers and jaguars. This particular tiger in this picture, scared the living tar out of us when he jumped up on the fence and growled. I jumped behind Ken and Deshy ended up in tears. Such excitement!

Day 56

Leaving the Nest- Our little bird is ready to fly. As we sat on the lawn at the park, Deshy wanted to explore and see the surroundings. Despite us calling to him he continued to crawl away.

Day 55

Criss Cross- I don't remember where we were headed but I do remember looking into the backseat and seeing this view. I love how his little ankles are crossed and he's hanging onto his teddy. Such a sweet boy.
